Geography
Bavaria is located at the heard of Europe. The beauty of the scenery between the Alps and the Rhoen area, the unspoilt natural surroundings, the wealth of culture and the future-oriented economy are the Bavarian characteristics.
Economy
As an economic location, Bavaria is a symbol for prosperity and progress. Bavaria is playing a leading part in the economic and technological developments in Germany. Economic strength and employment have been growing at an above-average rate for years.
The industry is ultra-modern and internationally competitive, its strong points being in the areas of information and communication, electro-technology and electronics, automobile and machine manufacture, chemicals, aviation and space travel, life sciences, environmental and medical technology. Next to the industries there are more than 160,000 productive craft businesses. In the highly developed service sector, financial services and the media are just as significant as tourism, trade and the providers of so-called industrial services.
